THE J. PROJECT: A NO-FUSS BALCONY MAKEOVER
I’ve been lying in bed all day battling the cramps and trying to get myself to work on this post, because I committed to uploading fresh content this weekend and by God, I’m going to do it – even if I have to do it while cussing under my breath and begging my womanhood for mercy.
Consistency on here has been a bit of a struggle (not sure if you could tell) but I’m trying, and I’ll keep trying until I can find this elusive rhythm.
Anyway, I haven’t posted any room makeover content recently and I came across these old pictures of a balcony makeover I helped a friend with sometime last year. Let me tell you, taking a stranger’s money after convincing them you know what you’re doing is one thing: doing the same for a friend is a whole other level of imposter syndrome-inducing anxiety. Imagine losing money, dignity and friendship from one project, wueh!
I was super nervous going into this even though I knew we’d keep it super simple and on a tight budget. Looking back at these pictures made me smile. We went from an indoor-outdoor space with great yet under-utilised potential…
Before
…to a clutter-free, clean, functional space.
After

It’s simple; what I’d describe as minimalist-meets-industrial-meets-farmhouse. I wouldn’t mind having a candlelit dinner out here on a starry night, or a raucous, boozy game night with my closest friends.

I love what you do. You’ve made the balcony look like an awesome place to chill and even work. Based on the pictures of the house to there is a flow from inside to outside like a continuation of sorts. I don’t know if I make sense lol.
Anywho.. I love it

This is beautiful
